The Indigenous Perspective Roundtable, hosted by the 91ɫƬ in partnership with the , highlights Indigenous leadership in climate policy. The event provides an opportunity for attendees to listen to and engage with authors. In keeping with last year’s roundtable programming, the format for the 2026 edition will be a two-part series.
Roundtable 1: Indigenous Leadership in the Energy Transition

The first roundtable will cover the following topics:
- Indigenous-led electricity transmission projects: A generational opportunity – with authors Frank Busch and Kwatuuma Cole Sayers.
- Who holds the pen? Indigenous dialogues on climate governance and corporate disclosure – with author Raylene Whitford.
Roundtable 2: Indigenous climate policy: Beyond Western metrics

This second roundtable, will cover the following topics:
- What the land knows: Métis harvesting narratives as climate knowledge – with author Conor Kerr.
- The Gitanyow Climate Test: Tackling the Climate Crisis with Indigenous Laws and Science – with author Tara Marsden/Naxginkw.
